Why Plants?

When my children were small, committing to large projects was challenging, so I began creating vibrant, smaller paintings of the plants around me. Some evenings, with only a pen and paper, I'd sketch the nearest houseplant, capturing its form with quick, simple lines. Creating has never felt like a choice—it's a compulsion. These little paintings allowed me to keep making art with minimal supplies, finding pockets of time whenever I could. They brought me joy on many dreary days, and I hope they can do the same for you.
